After a wildly successful season, Mark Motors Racing is thrilled to announce the return of rising star and Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Gold Champion Roman De Angelis. At just 16 years old, De Angelis proved age is just a number, as he proudly took the podium at every race last season. With a championship title and his first season under his belt De Angelis will move up to the platinum class this year, Mark Motors Racing can’t wait to see what he Roman has in store for 2018.

“I am thrilled to be back with Mark Motors now competing in the Platinum class” said De Angelis. “Last year was a tremendous learning experience for me and I now feel I am fully prepared to move up to the Platinum Class in 2018 and continue to compete for wins. I cannot thank everyone at Mark Motors for their support, without them I would not have this opportunity.”

The Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama is scheduled for six race weekends, starting with Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring running from March 14th-17th.

“We couldn’t have been more thrilled with Roman’s success last season” said Dealer Principle & Owner Michael Mrak. “For a driver to have those results in their first season driving in the GT3 Cup is incredible – and at such a young age too! We are looking forward to seeing what Roman can accomplish this season in the Platinum class”

“Finding young talent like this is rare, so we feel very fortunate to have Roman De Angelis sporting the Mark Motors Racing green for a second season” said Executive Vice President & Owner Liza Mrak. “The dynamic between Roman & teammate Zach Robichon is something very special. They are very supportive of one another and that goes a long way for a team, and with Roman now in Platinum class I am confident Mark Motors Racing will be conquering the podium this season!”
