SCB Racing – the motorsport division or SportsCarBoutique is excited to return to the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama and IMSA with an exciting three-car line up.

All three entries will be racing in the Platinum Cup for points.

Parker Thompson from Red Deer, Alberta will drive the No. 3 Platinum Cup entry – sponsored by Porsche Centre Victoria and Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit.

Dr. Marc Raymond from London, Ontario will be driving the No. 30 Platinum Cup entry and Andrew Lenkov from Toronto, Ontario the No. 8 Porsche GT3 Cup.

Parker Thompson, who has an excellent track record with open wheel, has recently made the jump into GT racing with success. In his first ever Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge race in the USA, he climbed on the podium – twice! The youngster is one of Canada’s great racing talents – aiming for the top spot every time he is on track.

With only a few years of competitive racing under his belt – Dr. Marc Raymond has already been crowned champion in the Canadian Touring Car series. His 2018 Porsche GT3 Cup will be the rookie in his class - racing in the Platinum Masters division.

Andrew Lenkov – also a new comer to the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge – has competed last season in the Porsche GT4 Trophy East and is now ready to make the move up into Porsche GT3 Cup.

SCB Racing - now in its ninth season of competition, has a clear goal in mind: Winning the 2019 Championship!

Over the past seasons, SCB Racing has coached and introduced young Canadian talents to the series – earning them podiums, championships and rookie of the year awards.

“We love the sport, the series and most of all these Porsche Cup cars” states Ilker Starck – the principal and owner of SCB Racing and SportsCarBoutique. “Over the past few years we have established ourselves as a team that introduces and supports talented young race car drivers…” adds Starck who was competed in the series himself multiple times.

The six-weekend Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama kicks off at the Victoria Day SpeedFest at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on May 17th.
