Porsche GT3 Cup Canada Entry List for Victoria Day SpeedFest Unveiled
Wednesday, May 9, 2018

After a two-month hiatus, the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama heads to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park next weekend as part of the annual Victoria Day SpeedFest on May 18 – 20.

Eleven Porsche GT3 Cup Canada cars are slated to compete in the third and fourth rounds of the 2018 season, with the first two having come at Sebring International Raceway back in March.

Highlighting the entry list is Zach Robichon in the No. 98 Mark Motors Racing Porsche, who collected victories in both rounds at Sebring. He holds a 12-point championship lead over the No. 96 OpenRoad Racing team and driver Remo Ruscitti.

Robichon’s teammate Roman De Angelis in the No. 78 Porsche also returns, looking for redemption after narrow defeats at Sebring have him 14 points behind Robichon in the standings.

Newcomers to the entry list include Michael Fantin in the No. 14 Engineered Automotive Porsche and Marc Savage in the No. 08 Wingho Racing/Porsche Prestige racecar. Michael Di Meo slides in the No. 35 for Policaro Motorsport/Sports Car Boutique and Perry Bortolotti fills in as the third Mark Motors Racing driver in the No. 84, alongside teammates Robichon and De Angelis.

The weekend kicks off with two, 40-minute practice sessions on Friday, May 18, followed by a 20-minute qualifying session on Saturday at 8:50 a.m. ET. The first 45-minute Porsche GT3 Cup Canada race takes place on Saturday at 3:05 p.m., with the second on Sunday at 11:20 a.m.
